Mid-June Mid-Week Walking (2014-06-09)

During the week beginning 9th June, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week walks available. One is an evening walk and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Wednesday, 11th June and will start at 7.00 pm from the Station Hotel in Picton {NZ 422 078} - see the map below.

On Sunday, 8th June, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Weardale area of County Durham region. All walks will finish in Stanhope {NY 996 392} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Eastgate {NY 952 387} and will take in Lintzgarth, Burnhope Dam, Wilkinson's Cut and Crawley Edge.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Eastgate and will visit Boltslaw Incline, Wilkinson's Cut and Blackburn Rigg.
 
The C-walk will set off from Westgate {NY 908 380} and will pass through a section of the Weardale Way, Bishop Seat, Rookhope Burn and Eastgate.
 
This is a Route 3 coach pick-up (Acklam: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Billingham: 9.30 am).

Evening Walk on 2014-06-04 - Change of Venue

The evening walk scheduled for the 4th June will not now start from Wolviston - as originally stated in the programme details. The new starting location is Wynyard South Car Park on the A689 road that runs between Wolviston and Sedgefield {NZ 404 283} - see the map below.
