Early-June Mid-Week Walking (2017-06-05)

During the week beginning 5th June, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week walks available. One is an evening walk and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Wednesday, 7th June and will start at 7.00 pm from Gribdale Gate near Great Ayton {NZ593.110} - see the map below.

Sunday Walking to Keswick

On Sunday, 4th June, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the North-Eastern area of the Lake District. All walks will finish in Keswick {NY265.235} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Wanthwaite Bridge {NY315.231} and will take in Clough Head, Calfhow Pike, Watson's Dodd and Sticks Pass.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Wanthwaite Bridge and will visit Walla Crag, Bleaberry Fell, High Seat and Ashness Bridge.
 
The C-walk will set off from Legburthwaite {NY318.192} and will pass through Rake How, Tewet Tarn, Castlerigg, Great Wood and the lakeside path to Keswick.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up (Billingham: 8.30 am, Acklam: 8.45 am and Stockton: 9.00 am). Note: Early start.

Sunday Walking to Chop Gate

On Sunday, 28th May, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three circular walks in the Bilsdale area of the North York Moors. All walks will start and finish in Chop Gate {SE559.993} - see the following map.

The C-walk will pass through Medd Crag, Clay Bank, Garfits and North Woods.
 
This is a Route 1 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Acklam: 9.30 am).
 
Tea and scones will be available in the Village Hall after the walks.
